The downloader works with single, public pins. What you get back depends on the kind of pin.

How to download from Pinterest

Copy the address from your browser's address bar. It should contain pinterest.com/pin/ followed by a number.

Frequently asked questions
How do I download a video from Pinterest?
Copy the pin's link from your browser, paste it into the downloader and click "Get media". If the pin contains a video, the tool returns a direct MP4 file that you can preview on the page and save with the download button. It picks the widest video version Pinterest offers.
Can I download Pinterest images and GIFs too?
Yes. For image pins the tool looks for the original, full-resolution file rather than the smaller preview Pinterest shows in the feed. Animated GIF pins are returned as GIF files. The result page tells you whether it found a video, an image or a GIF.
Which Pinterest links work?
The downloader needs a full pin link that contains pinterest.com/pin/, for example https://www.pinterest.com/pin/123456789/. Shortened pin.it links, board links and profile links are not supported. Open a short link in your browser first, then copy the full address it lands on.
Is there a limit on downloads?
You can fetch 10 pins every 24 hours, and no account is needed. Only successful fetches count, so a link the tool could not read does not use one up.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It runs in any mobile browser on iPhone or Android and there is nothing to install. In the Pinterest app, use the share menu to copy the link, open it in your browser to get the full address, then paste that here.
Why did the downloader not find my pin?
The pin may be private, deleted or restricted, or the link may be a short link or a board link instead of a single pin. Check that the pin opens in a private browser window without logging in, and that the address contains pinterest.com/pin/.
Is it legal to download Pinterest videos and images?
Saving a file for your own reference is generally fine, but the copyright stays with whoever created it. Do not repost, sell or use someone else's pin in your own content without their permission. When you want to share a pin, save it to a board or link to it instead.
