How to make Pinterest pins for a product in your shop

Paste one product link from your Shopify or other online shop. Get finished Pinterest pins that show your product in fresh new photos, each linking back to your product page. Here's the whole thing, click by click, with a real candle from a Shopify shop.

Before you start

  1. 3

Pick where your product should be shown

At the top, Made to Spark has already picked your product photo. Your pins link straight to your product page. Then:

    1. 1 Under Choose a setting, the cards show example photos. Your product goes in instead.
    2. 2 Tap + on a setting to add it, and tap it again to take it out. Each setting you pick becomes one pin. If you have enough credits, In use and Studio are already chosen for you. In this guide we also added Golden hour, so we make 3 pins.
    3. 3 Want a seasonal look? Tap + Christmas, + Summer, + Black Friday or + Valentine’s under it. Each one is a pin too.
Four setting cards: In use, Golden hour and Studio chosen and numbered, Podium with a plus button, and seasonal choices below Tap + to add
Tip: Your product has a label, a logo or writing on it? AI redraws your product in each setting, and printed words can get lost (see step 5). To keep your real photos exactly as they are, click the Templates tab at the top: ready-made pin designs that use the photos from your product page, with no new picture drawn.
  2. 4

Check the words, then click Make

Each pin gets a short headline written from your product page. Click one to change the words, or tap the ⇄ button next to it for a new one. Or leave them as they are. The small pictures next to each headline are the example settings, not your pin. Then click the Make button at the bottom. It shows how many pins you picked, like Make 3 pins, and what it uses: one credit per pin, so 3 pins use 3 credits.

The headline for each of the three pins, and the Make 3 pins button at the bottom 1 2
  3. 5

Wait about a minute, then check your product

You land on My Pins and watch them being drawn. You can leave the page; they keep going. Then look closely at your product on each pin, because it is your shop people will see:

    1. 1 Check the label and any logo. Here, the label words are gone on pins 1 and 3 and kept on pin 2. Shoppers notice this, so don’t post a pin that doesn’t look like what you sell.
    2. 2 Not right? The surest fix for a labelled product is template pins: click Make more for this page and pick the Templates tab. Or click Edit, then Remake · 1 credit: AI draws a new pin next to the old one, and it can lose the label again. Delete the pins you don’t want.
    3. 3 A word in the headline looks wrong? Click Edit, then Edit headline (no credit).
Three finished candle pins: the first and third show the candle with a blank label, the second keeps the Vanilla Mace label 1 1 2
  4. 6

    Send them to Pinterest

On the right of your new pins:

    1. 1 First time? Click Connect Pinterest and allow access on Pinterest. You only do this once, and it brings you straight back to your pins.
    2. 2 Pick a board. Made to Spark picks the one that fits best and marks it (suggested). You can choose another.
    3. 3 Leave When on Spread out (recommended), so your pins go out over the coming days. Want to choose the days? Pick Pick dates myself.
    4. 4 Click Schedule all 3.
    5. 5 Rather not connect Pinterest? Skip 1 to 4 and click Download all to save the pictures, then upload them to Pinterest yourself.
The Send them to Pinterest box with a Connect Pinterest button and a Download all button 1
    Before you connect Pinterest
After connecting: the Vanilla Candles board suggested, When set to Spread out (recommended), and a Schedule all 3 button 2 3 4 5
After you connect: pick a board, then Schedule all 3
Tip: Scheduling comes with every subscription plan. If you only bought credits, you see See plans with the scheduler instead of Connect Pinterest. Use Download all, or pick a plan there.

Done! Here are the 3 pins from this guide

One product link, three settings, three pins. Each one links to the product page. Pin 2 kept the label best, so that is the one to post first.

Questions

Which shops work?

Shopify, and other public product pages that show the product and its photo. If a page can’t be read, you see a message saying so: then use the My photos tab with your own product photos instead. Selling on Etsy? Use the Etsy shop tab instead: you type your shop name and pick a listing.

How many credits does this use?

Each AI scene pin uses 1 credit, so 3 settings use 3 credits. The page shows the total next to the Make button before you click it. Template pins from your own product photos are included in every subscription plan, up to your plan’s monthly amount; with credits only, each uses 1 credit. Fixing a word with Edit headline does not use a credit.

Why does my label look different on a pin?

AI draws your product again in each new setting. Shapes and colours stay, but small printed words, like a label or a logo, can blur or disappear. Always check before you post. Remake makes a new pin for 1 credit, but it can lose the label too. The Templates tab uses your real product photos without changing them.

Do my pins link to my shop?

Yes. Every pin links to the product page you pasted, so people who click land right on it.

What if something goes wrong?

If a pin does not work, its spot says what happened, and nothing is charged for it. Often you see a Try again button: click it once. If you pick more pins than you have credits for, the Make button changes into a button to get more credits, so nothing starts half done.
